Key Responsibilities

1. Build Interactive Power BI Dashboards

The selected candidate will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and paginated reports using Power BI Desktop and publish them to Power BI Service. These dashboards help teams track performance metrics, operational KPIs, and business outcomes.

2. Develop Robust Data Models

A core responsibility of this role is building semantic data models that enable reliable reporting and analytics. Candidates will create efficient DAX measures and calculated columns to ensure data accuracy and optimal report performance.

3. Data Transformation Using Power Query

You will develop reusable Power Query (M) transformations and dataflows to standardize data preparation. This ensures consistent data pipelines across multiple departments and reporting environments.

4. Power BI Administration and Governance

The role includes administering Power BI workspaces, datasets, gateways, refresh schedules, and deployment pipelines. Maintaining proper governance ensures a secure and scalable analytics ecosystem.

5. Implement Data Security Standards

Candidates will implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with enterprise data governance policies.

6. Integrate with Microsoft Power Platform

The position also involves integrating Power BI with Power Automate and Power Apps to enable automated workflows and analytics-driven business processes.

7. Custom Visual Development

To enhance user experience, you may be required to configure or develop custom Power BI visuals that support advanced visualization requirements.

8. SQL and Data Engineering Collaboration

Strong SQL skills are essential for extracting and shaping data from multiple sources. You will collaborate with data engineering teams to support ETL processes and performance optimization.

9. Stakeholder Collaboration

The role requires working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define business KPIs, and ensure analytics solutions align with strategic goals.

10. Performance Monitoring and User Training

You will monitor usage analytics, improve dashboard performance, document solutions, and provide training sessions to help teams adopt self-service analytics tools effectively.

Required Qualifications
