Job Overview

The Data Analyst will support treasury operations by collecting, analysing, and interpreting large financial datasets. This role focuses heavily on financial reporting, debt management analysis, liquidity tracking, and treasury performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions), SQL for database querying, and a solid understanding of financial numbers, treasury workflows, and NBFC operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Data Analysis

  • Collect and analyse data from loans, customer portfolios, treasury transactions, and financial reports.

  • Ensure high accuracy, validation, and integrity of financial datasets.

  • Monitor key treasury metrics and loan performance indicators.

2. Advanced Excel & Reporting

  • Use pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros, and complex formulas for analysis.

  • Build automated treasury MIS reports.

  • Develop financial models for decision support.

3. Dashboard & Visualization

  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards using Excel and Tableau.

  • Track KPIs such as cost of funds, debt utilization, repayment cycles, and liquidity metrics.

4. SQL & Data Extraction

  • Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from internal databases.

  • Optimize data retrieval processes for faster reporting cycles.

5. Treasury Operations Support

  • Support mid-office treasury functions, including debt reconciliation and financial tracking.

  • Assist in evaluating funding strategies and lending alliance performance.

  • Conduct variance analysis and financial trend reporting.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product, operations, and finance teams to deliver data-driven insights.

  • Present financial findings clearly to senior management and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • MBA / CA / CFA preferred.

  • CA Freshers are encouraged to apply.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in treasury analytics, financial analysis, or data analytics.

  • Experience in fintech, NBFC, or financial services is highly preferred.

Technical Expertise

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, formula-based analysis).

  • Strong SQL knowledge.

  • Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI.

  • Strong understanding of financial numbers and treasury operations (mandatory).
