RentoMojo is hiring a Data Analyst to join its analytics team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for analytical professionals who want to convert data into strategic business insights and drive measurable impact across revenue, operations, customer behaviour, and financial planning.

We are seeking a proactive and curious Data Analyst with strong technical capabilities, business understanding, and exceptional communication skills. In this role, you’ll partner with business leaders to inform decisions using data, build analytical products, and support core planning processes.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst at RentoMojo, you will:

Business & Strategic Support

  • Act as a thought partner to business leaders by providing data-driven insights, recommendations, and analytical frameworks.

  • Translate business questions and challenges into clear, structured analytical problems.

  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance insights with concise narratives and actionable recommendations.

  • Support annual strategic planning, including budgeting and forecasting initiatives.

  • Identify areas for operational improvement and strategic focus using data.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue, cost, customer, funnel, and operational data.

  • Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and performance drivers, ensuring that insights are rooted in rigorous analysis.

  • Build profitability analysis, cohort analysis, and unit economics frameworks to evaluate long-term business health.

  • Execute scenario analysis and “what-if” modelling to support planning and decision-making.

Reporting & Dashboards

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that track key business metrics, including KPIs and OKRs.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and clarity in all dashboards and reports.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to standardize reporting processes and data definitions.

  • Translate analytical outputs into visualizations that are easy to interpret for business users and senior leadership.

You are an analytical thinker with a growth mindset and a strong business orientation. You enjoy digging into data, identifying opportunities, and clearly communicating your findings. You are comfortable owning end-to-end analytical processes and partnering with stakeholders at all levels to deliver high-impact insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets.

  • Advanced expertise in Excel / Google Sheets, including pivot tables, formulas, and financial models.

  • Basic to intermediate Python or R for analysis (preferred, but not mandatory).

Business & Communication Skills

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to interpret data in the context of business goals and objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex insights clearly and persuasively to business audiences.

  • High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to structure analytical work into executive-ready narratives with clear recommendations.
