StrongYes Media is hiring a detail-oriented and structured Data Analyst to support research-driven studies focused on hiring trends, universities, career pathways, compensation benchmarks, and workplace insights.

About the Role
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for building, cleaning, validating, and maintaining structured datasets sourced from employers, universities, partnerships, and survey platforms. Your work will directly contribute to flagship research reports and public studies.
You will collaborate closely with editorial and leadership teams to ensure every dataset used in a published report meets a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Data Cleaning & Validation

Structure and standardize datasets related to hiring, workforce trends, compensation, and education.

Clean and validate data from multiple stakeholders, including employers and universities.

Identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and missing information.

Maintain disciplined documentation for transparency and auditability.
Research & Insight Support

Support research initiatives by preparing reliable datasets for analysis.

Identify meaningful patterns and signals in workforce and career-related data.

Convert analytical findings into simple summaries for editorial and leadership teams.

Ensure reports are backed by accurate and well-documented data.
Dashboarding & Tracking

Build and maintain structured trackers for research projects and partnerships.

Develop simple dashboards using Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

Monitor data integrity across ongoing studies and research workflows.
Data Governance & Quality Standards

Implement consistent naming conventions, formatting standards, and validation rules.
-
Maintain version control and structured documentation practices.

Ensure all public outputs are backed by credible, validated datasets.
Required Skills & Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in Data Analysis, Research, Consulting, HR Analytics, EdTech, or related fields.

Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation).

Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data querying and cleaning.

Experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboard creation.

Understanding of data modelling and structured research workflows.

Close attention to detail with a methodical approach to documentation.

Ability to communicate complex findings in clear, non-technical language.

Strong ownership mindset and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
