About the Role: Data Analyst (Social Impact Strategy)

Are you a data professional looking to leverage your analytical skills to drive measurable social impact and optimize public education infrastructure? LearningMate, in coordination with MGT, is seeking an entrepreneurial, self-driven Data Analyst to join our global team via a fully remote layout in India (with the hiring head office anchored in Chennai).

This position sits within our high-growth Data Science & Analytics division. As a core analyst, you will be responsible for extracting raw information across multiple public sector touchpoints, constructing scalable data architectures, and deploying predictive AI/ML frameworks. Moving past surface-level spreadsheet maintenance, you will translate multi-structured information lakes into actionable business intelligence that supports MGT’s Social Impact Strategy (SIS) and operations groups. Because this role interfaces directly with U.S. public sector metrics, candidates must maintain absolute fluency in English and actively collaborate during U.S. business working hours (Eastern Time zone).

Key Responsibilities & Data Engineering Workflows

  • Data Consolidation & Cleansing: Identify, extract, clean, and merge disparate datasets from multiple third-party vendors to generate high-fidelity, cross-functional analytics tables.

  • Predictive AI/ML Modeling: Build, analyze, and test statistical data models using contemporary AI tools to uncover hidden behavioral trends, isolate anomalies, and support empirical decision-making.

  • BI Dashboard Engineering: Design and implement interactive data visualization tools and automated compliance scorecards inside Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to enable high-level visibility for senior leadership.

  • Feedback Mechanism Infrastructure: Architect, deliver, and manage an integrated client survey system to capture performance metrics and continuously refine public sector solutions.

  • CRM Data Stewardship: Support data pipeline integrity, deduplication workflows, and structural analysis within core CRM databases (Salesforce ecosystem).

  • Cross-Functional Translation: Convert complex mathematical insights and data profiling discoveries into plain-English business blueprints to optimise client strategy.

Candidate Prerequisites & Technical Matrix

We are looking for an independent, fast-learning analytics professional who can comfortably navigate ambiguous situations and meet strict milestones within an agile software development life cycle.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Track: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a matching quantitative discipline.

  • Professional Horizon: 2 to 3 years of verified corporate experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or research operations.

  • Programming Stack Fluency: Practical hands-on capability writing relational database queries (SQL) alongside analytical scripts in Python or R.

  • BI Tool Applications: Proven background building clean reports or performance tracking dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.

  • AI Exposure: Conceptual or practical experience applying AI/ML modelling technologies to identify operational trends and drive automated workflows.

  • Operational Scheduling: Advanced or native-level English communication skills, with absolute flexibility to remain active and contactable during U.S. Eastern Time (ET) business hours.

Preferred Additional Assets:

  • Functional familiarity in exploring and managing database architecture within Salesforce CRM frameworks.

  • Prior experience working directly within a management consulting or fast-paced software development life cycle (SDLC) setup.

Key Behavioural Competencies

  • Ambiguity Management: Able to confidently structure loose business prompts into concrete technical tasks without constant micro-management.

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Proactive mindset centered on designing automated engineering solutions for processing bugs rather than escalating roadblocks.

  • Continuous Learning Mindset: High adaptability toward acquiring new technical toolsets combined with an active sense of humour and appreciation for collaborative teamwork.
