About the Role
Levi Strauss & Co., one of the world’s most iconic apparel brands, is looking for a curious, analytical, and collaborative Data Analyst to join our Global Merchandise Planning Insights team.
In this role, you will help transform complex data into meaningful insights that drive key business decisions across our global markets. From product strategy to pricing optimization and inventory management, your analysis will help shape the direction of our merchandise planning and fuel the continued growth of Levi Strauss & Co.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, fashion, and strategy, collaborating with talented teams across Planning, Merchandising, Finance, and Cluster Operations. Your insights will directly impact how we plan, allocate, and position our products to meet consumer demand across regions.
Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze product performance, customer behavior, and commercial KPIs across global markets to identify trends and opportunities.

Reporting & Reviews: Support weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting cycles, including hindsight recaps, performance reviews, and business insights.

Dashboard Development: Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations that enable cross-functional teams to monitor business health in real time.

Data Storytelling: Translate complex datasets into clear, concise, and actionable insights that inform planning and merchandising decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cluster teams to identify global themes and local nuances in product performance, ensuring strategies reflect both global priorities and local needs.

Data Governance: Support efforts to improve data quality, consistency, and documentation across all reporting tools and sources.

Business Improvement: Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing reporting capabilities and driving business outcomes.

Forecasting Support: Contribute to brand and tier-level rollups, forecasts, and business projections.

Trend Monitoring: Continuously read and react to sales trends through chase analytics and fabric positioning to support in-season decisions.
What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or planning—ideally within the retail or consumer goods industry.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets for ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Business Acumen: Understanding of key retail metrics such as sell-through, AOV (Average Order Value), UPT (Units per Transaction), and return rates.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills. You should be able to present insights clearly and work effectively across diverse global teams.
