Role Overview

As a Data Analyst at Engineering Realm, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions. The role goes beyond traditional reporting—you will actively contribute to data governance, data quality management, analytics infrastructure, and security practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance while enabling business intelligence initiatives that drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with internal data standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Define data ownership, stewardship, and documentation processes.

Data Quality & Risk Management

  • Identify data risks, gaps, and inconsistencies across systems.

  • Monitor and report data quality, accuracy, and integrity metrics.

  • Work with stakeholders to resolve data issues and prevent recurrence.

Analytics & Data Architecture

  • Design and maintain data architecture and metadata management frameworks.

  • Use advanced SQL and relational databases to extract, analyse, and validate data.

  • Support analytics dashboards, reports, and business intelligence use cases.

Data Security & Access Control

  • Implement data security controls, access permissions, and encryption standards.

  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and business-critical information.

  • Partner with internal teams to promote secure data usage practices.

Training & Enablement

  • Create and deliver data governance and best-practice training for employees.

  • Educate teams on data quality standards, reporting processes, and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • 0 to 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence.

  • Entry-level candidates with strong SQL and analytical foundations are welcome.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.

  • Experience working with structured datasets and quality metrics.

  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, or BI tools is an advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
