Role Overview – Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst, you will gather, analyse, and interpret data across business and IT systems. You will serve as a subject matter expert for delivery teams, ensuring that business workflows align effectively with structured and unstructured data models.
You will also support the design of reusable data products, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that enable informed decision-making across departments.
This role demands both technical expertise and business domain knowledge—particularly in oil & gas workflows and data types.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Analysis & Insights

Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

Support data-driven decision-making across business functions.

Apply data modelling techniques to improve reporting structures.
2. Data Visualization & Reporting

Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using:

Power BI

Spotfire

Tableau

Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ensure dashboards are intuitive, scalable, and performance-optimized.
3. Azure Cloud & Data Management

Work with Microsoft Azure services, including:

Azure Synapse Analytics

Azure Data Lake

Azure SQL Database

Support data transformation, storage, and retrieval processes.

Maintain high data quality standards through cleansing and integration activities.
4. Automation & Power Platform

Leverage Microsoft Power Platform tools such as:

Power Apps

Power Automate

Power BI

Automate workflows and enhance analytics processes.
5. Collaboration & Governance

Work closely with data engineers, IT teams, and business stakeholders.

Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and data processes.

Ensure compliance with Information Risk Management (IRM) standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience
-
2–4 years of professional experience in data analysis or related fields.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure services.

Hands-on experience with Power BI, Spotfire, and Tableau.

Advanced SQL querying and data transformation skills.
-
Experience with Python for data wrangling.

Knowledge of data modelling, governance, and enterprise data structures.

Familiarity with Oil & Gas workflows and domain-specific datasets.
