🚀 Job Overview

Unloq is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to lead its data storytelling and analytics initiatives. You will be responsible for building dashboards, analysing user behaviour, and generating insights that directly influence product and business decisions.

This role involves working closely with Product, Engineering, and Founders to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You’ll also help lay the foundation for scalable data systems and automation.

📊 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Dashboard Development & Reporting

  • Build and maintain real-time dashboards and reports from scratch
  • Ensure business and product metrics are accurate, visible, and actionable
  • Monitor and optimize reporting pipelines for performance

🔹 Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyse user behaviour, trends, and business performance
  • Identify hidden patterns, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations

🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product and Strategy teams for root cause analysis
  • Partner with Engineering to define data tracking and instrumentation
  • Ensure proper data modelling and collection practices

🔹 Automation & Advanced Analytics

  • Identify opportunities for intelligent automation
  • Build predictive signals, scoring models, and triggers
  • Contribute to data-driven product enhancements

🔹 End-to-End Ownership

  • Own analytical projects from problem definition to execution
  • Deliver insights that directly influence business decisions

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications

✔ Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in Data Analyst or Business Analyst roles
  • Proven ability to derive insights from raw data independently

✔ Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL (stored procedures, views, performance tuning)
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with ClickHouse or similar OLAP databases
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI tools (Superset preferred)

✔ Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of statistics (correlation, distributions, significance)
  • Ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions

✔ Communication & Collaboration

  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into data solutions
