About the Role
As a Data Analyst at DRRT, you will be responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and analysing investment transaction and loss calculation data. The role involves extensive use of Microsoft Excel (advanced level), Microsoft Access, DRRT GPS systems, and other analytical tools to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
You will work closely with internal teams to identify data deficiencies, recommend corrections, and support the preparation of proof of claims for class action settlements. Clear communication, attention to detail, and strong analytical reasoning are essential to succeed in this position. As you demonstrate proficiency in core responsibilities, additional analytical and reporting tasks will be assigned.
Key Responsibilities

Review, clean, and maintain large volumes of transactional and investment data.

Identify discrepancies, missing data, and inconsistencies requiring correction.

Prepare and support proof of claims related to securities litigation and class action settlements.

Manage and review custodian confirmations to validate securities claims.

Analyse investment transaction data and loss calculations using Excel, Access, and GPS tools

Compile, sort, organise, and present analytical results according to defined requirements.

Integrate data outputs from multiple systems and maintain them in secure repositories.

Export, update, and reconcile datasets on an ongoing basis as required

Accurately transfer data from PDF documents to Excel for routine and ad-hoc analysis.

Generate data summaries, overviews, and analysis reports upon request.

Efficiently transfer and input data across multiple applications and platforms.

Communicate findings, data issues, and analytical scenarios clearly to internal stakeholders.

Perform quality assurance (QA) checks and troubleshoot data-related issues.

Support additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
(Equivalent relevant professional experience will be considered) -
Working knowledge of SQL, statistics, and data analysis methodologies

Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency is mandatory.
(Candidates without advanced Excel skills should not apply) -
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access

Fundamental understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements and derivatives

Experience or familiarity with Python, R, SPSS, or Bloomberg is an advantage.

Prior experience in data research, validation, and reporting is preferred.
