We’re looking for a Data Analyst – Edge Capabilities to join our Data & Analytics team in Mumbai. Job Purpose
As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying business needs, building analytical tools, developing test strategies, and supporting senior analysts in delivering business outcomes. Your insights will help transform how we understand data, forecast performance, and enhance decision-making across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Requirement Analysis

Identify and define business needs and priorities through in-depth discussions with stakeholders.

Gather, analyze, and interpret large data sets to derive meaningful business insights.

Translate complex data problems into structured analytical frameworks.

Collaborate across departments to align analytical solutions with business objectives.
2. Data Analysis & Tool Development

Design and develop analytical tools, dashboards, and reports to address business requirements.

Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of data used for reporting and analytics.

Understand business metrics and map analytical requirements to available data sources.

Support the creation and automation of repeatable reporting processes to drive efficiency.
3. Analytical Framework Design

Develop and implement analytical frameworks that connect key business goals with measurable outcomes.

Apply statistical, computational, and data-mining techniques to uncover trends and opportunities.

Work closely with the Data Engineering and Data Science teams to enhance data models and pipelines.
4. Testing & Validation

Develop and execute systematic test procedures to ensure analytical solutions meet design specifications.

Create robust validation and quality assurance processes to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Analyze test outcomes to identify gaps, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Challenge existing processes and introduce innovative analytical methods for continuous performance improvement.

Stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and best practices in data analytics.

Recommend process improvements, predictive models, or new insights to drive strategic initiatives.
6. Collaboration & Business Impact

Partner with Senior Analysts and Lead Analysts to deliver impactful data-driven outcomes.

Communicate analytical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Understand the larger vision of the Bank and how data insights contribute to business growth.

Recognize interdependencies between departments and how analytical outcomes affect overall performance.

Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.

2–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related roles (experience in banking/financial services preferred).

Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Proven ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.

Familiarity with statistical modeling, data wrangling, and machine learning techniques is an added advantage.
