About WebMD

WebMD is a leading provider of trusted health information and a pioneer in digital health innovation. With millions of users relying on us to make informed health decisions every day, our mission is to empower people with accessible, reliable, and actionable medical insights. As we continue to expand our analytics capabilities, we are looking for a Data Analyst who can translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights that drive decision-making and performance across our platforms.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst at WebMD, you will play a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving problems through numbers — someone who loves to dig into data, uncover trends, and tell compelling stories through data visualization and reporting.

You will collaborate with business, marketing, and technology teams to transform raw data into meaningful insights that influence strategy, performance tracking, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with strong technical proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.

If you are passionate about data, driven by curiosity, and enjoy working in a fast-paced digital environment, this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Visualization & Reporting:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that provide insights into business performance, trends, and benchmarks.

  • Automation & Efficiency:
Simplify and automate recurring reports, audits, and analyses to maximize scalability and reduce manual intervention.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with teams across marketing, product, and technology to gather data requirements, understand objectives, and deliver timely insights.

  • Performance Analytics:
Analyze data related to web traffic, email engagement, and mobile app usage to measure program success, retention, and re-engagement metrics.

  • Experimentation & A/B Testing:
Support experimentation initiatives by analyzing A/B test results and identifying statistically significant findings.

  • Data Quality & Integrity:
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by validating data sources and maintaining documentation.

  • Business Intelligence:
Serve as a subject matter expert on specific business areas, providing actionable recommendations that influence strategy and decision-making.

  • Ad-hoc Analysis:
Conduct time-critical analyses and data deep dives to support ongoing business initiatives and executive reporting needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, or a related role.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data visualization capabilities.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) for creating dashboards and analytical reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into business insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in digital analytics — understanding of website, email, or app engagement metrics.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or other web traffic measurement platforms.

  • Basic knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation and advanced analytics (a plus, not mandatory).

  • Experience in A/B testing analysis, campaign tracking, and performance measurement.
