Role Overview – Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at Tarento, you will act as a key link between clients, UX/UI designers, and engineering teams. Your primary responsibility will be to translate business objectives into well-defined product requirements and sprint-ready backlogs.

You will be involved across the entire delivery lifecycle—from early-stage discovery and requirement analysis to design validation and development support. This role is ideal for Business Analysts who enjoy structured thinking, client interaction, and hands-on Agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading client discussions and requirement workshops to understand business goals, processes, and challenges

  • Gathering, analysing, and documenting detailed functional requirements.

  • Preparing clear and structured meeting notes, requirement documents, and process flows.

  • Defining user roles, permissions, and access levels based on system and business needs

  • Translating requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories

  • Writing high-quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria for development teams

  • Managing and maintaining the product backlog using Azure Boards or similar Agile tools

  • Conducting backlog refinement and supporting sprint planning activities

  • Collaborating closely with UX/UI designers to ensure requirements are translated into intuitive designs

  • Reviewing and validating designs against documented business requirements

  • Ensuring approved designs and functional context are attached to user stories.

  • Acting as a point of clarification for developers on features, edge cases, and scope

  • Driving stakeholder alignment and obtaining formal sign-offs on requirements and scope

  • Serving as the single source of truth for requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this Business Analyst job in Bengaluru, you should have:

  • 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, digital, or product-based organisations

  • Strong experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments

  • Proven ability to write structured, developer-ready user stories

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Boards, JIRA, or similar Agile tools

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including clients, designers, and developers

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert ambiguity into clarity

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

The following skills will be an added advantage:

  • Experience with digital transformation projects such as web platforms, mobile apps, or enterprise systems

  • Exposure to UX design collaboration and usability principles

  • Domain knowledge in BFSI, Retail, Healthcare, or Enterprise Applications

  • Basic understanding of APIs, system integrations, and technical architecture concepts
