About the Role

As a Business Analyst – EDO Data Fabric, you will play a critical role in supporting S&P Global’s Enterprise Data Office (EDO). The Data Fabric initiative is designed to improve how data is discovered, integrated, governed, and consumed across the organisation. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data solutions are aligned with business objectives and deliver measurable value.

You will work closely with data engineers, architects, product owners, and business users to gather requirements, analyse data processes, and support the delivery of scalable, high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs, challenges, and priorities

  • Gather, document, and analyse business and functional requirements related to data platforms and workflows

  • Support the implementation and enhancement of the EDO Data Fabric, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy

  • Translate business requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications, and process documentation

  • Work with technology teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data solutions

  • Assist in data governance, metadata management, and data quality initiatives

  • Participate in testing, validation, and user acceptance activities to ensure solutions meet business expectations

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimisation across data operations

  • Support change management, training, and communication efforts related to new data capabilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within data, analytics, or enterprise platforms

  • Strong understanding of data concepts, including data modelling, data integration, and data governance

  • Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies is an advantage

  • Experience with data platforms, data fabric, or large-scale enterprise data environments is a plus
