BNP Paribas India Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst – Camunda to join its Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) IT team. This role is part of a strategic initiative to strengthen enterprise-level process orchestration and workflow automation using the Camunda BPM platform.

This opportunity is ideal for senior Business Analysts who have hands-on experience with BPMN process modelling, Camunda workflow design, and stakeholder-driven automation within complex banking or financial services environments.

Role Overview: Business Analyst – Camunda

As a Camunda Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in translating business objectives into automated, executable workflows. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, solution architects, and Camunda development teams to ensure that business processes are accurately modelled, governed, and continuously optimized.

The role sits within CEFS IT – Process Plus, a Centre of Excellence for process orchestration, where Camunda is the core platform used to automate and monitor end-to-end business processes across multiple banking domains.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Management

  • Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document requirements.

  • Conduct as-is and to-be process analysis through workshops and interviews.

  • Create clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Process Modelling & Camunda BPM

  • Design and maintain BPMN 2.0 workflows, DMN decision tables, and CMMN models using Camunda Modeller

  • Apply process governance standards, including naming conventions, version control, and documentation.

  • Ensure business requirements are accurately translated into executable Camunda models.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with Camunda developers to define service tasks, external task contracts, and data mappings.

  • Support integration with microservices-based architectures and backend systems

  • Act as a functional authority during development and testing phases

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Define and track process KPIs such as cycle time, SLA compliance, and throughput.

  • Build and maintain dashboards using Camunda Optimize.

  • Analyse performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities

Agile & Continuous Improvement

  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

  • Propose process redesigns and automation opportunities aligned with Lean and continuous improvement principles.

  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of process enhancements

Stakeholder & Delivery Ownership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders.

  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes in clear, business-focused language.

  • Ensure high-quality, compliant, and on-time delivery of all assigned work.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in banking, capital markets, or financial services

  • Strong hands-on experience with Camunda BPM or equivalent BPM platforms

  • Proven expertise in BPMN 2.0, DMN decision modelling, and workflow governance

  • Working knowledge of the Camunda ecosystem (Tasklist, Operate, Optimize)

  • Experience designing workflows for complex, enterprise-scale business processes

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Ability to capture and map data flows and integration requirements

  • Understanding of technical architectures such as MVC and microservices

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience
