We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented AI Engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments. In this role, you will move beyond experimentation, transforming complex business problems into production-grade AI systems that drive automation and decision intelligence for customers worldwide.

 About the Role: Moving Beyond Prototypes

As an AI Engineer at Sutra.AI, you will collaborate with AI Productisation, Data, and Engineering teams to design and optimise the intelligent systems that power our next-gen capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI/ML Model Development: Build and optimise supervised/unsupervised models using Python and Scikit-Learn; perform feature engineering and benchmarking (ROC-AUC, F1, RMSE).

• Generative AI & LLM Engineering: Develop LLM applications using LangChain or LangGraph. Implement RAG pipelines with Pinecone, FAISS, or Weaviate, and perform fine-tuning using PEFT and LoRA.

• AI Agent Development: Design autonomous agents capable of multi-step reasoning and planning using frameworks like Autogen, CrewAI, or LangGraph.

• System Optimisation: Build evaluation pipelines to assess LLM output quality, factuality, and bias.

• Collaboration & Research: Participate in agile sprints and stay updated on emerging agentic advancements to strengthen Sutra’s stack.

Qualifications & Technical Competencies

We are looking for a candidate with a strong portfolio and a passion for real-world AI applications.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or AI/ML.

• Experience: 3–4 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML and Generative AI development.

• Core Skills: Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, FastAPI) and SQL/NoSQL databases.

• GenAI Stack: Experience with RAG, Agentic frameworks, and fine-tuning models like LLaMA, Mistral, or Falcon.

• Portfolio: A GitHub or portfolio showcasing your GenAI projects is required.

Technical Success Profile:

• Proficiency in instruction-tuning, adapter training, and RLHF.

• Familiarity with evaluation metrics: BLEU, ROUGE, BERTScore.

• Experience with deployment tools like Streamlit or Gradio.
