Grid Dynamics (NASDAQ: GDYN) is a leading provider of technology consulting, AI, and platform engineering. We are currently seeking a visionary Senior LLM/RAG Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, Bangalore, or Chennai.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in a high-profile Proof of Concept (POC) phase, transitioning a legacy RPG/IBM i-based Dealer Management System into a modern, cloud-native Java architecture. This is not just AI development; it is AI-driven industrial engineering at the highest level.

 The Role: Mastering CodeRAG & AST Transformations

You will work at the cutting edge of CodeRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation for code) to automate the parsing and transformation of legacy business logic into modern microservices.

Essential Functions:

  • Code Transformation & AST: Utilise Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) techniques to parse legacy RPG code and programmatically transform it into structured formats for Java migration.

  • Advanced RAG Implementation: Design and maintain high-fidelity RAG pipelines using AWS Bedrock and Vector Databases to provide LLMs with precise context from legacy documentation.

  • Metadata Enrichment: Clean and structure metadata from legacy systems, creating knowledge graphs or embeddings to drastically improve LLM accuracy.

  • Iterative Validation: Perform rigorous “human-in-the-loop” validation of AI-generated code to ensure functional parity with the legacy system and adherence to modern Java standards.

  • Legacy Integration: Collaborate with specialised tools like PKS eXplain to extract business logic flows from complex IBM i environments.

  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams in India and Germany, ensuring tight feedback loops and high-quality documentation during the POC.

Your Technical Success Profile

We are looking for a proactive engineer who can navigate the ambiguity of a POC environment and deliver production-grade AI solutions.

  • Total Experience: 4–8 years in Software Engineering, with a heavy focus on AI/ML or Backend development.

  • AI/LLM Mastery: Proven experience with advanced LLMs (Claude 3.5/3.7/4) and building end-to-end RAG pipelines.

  • Core Technical Stack:

    • Languages: Expert-level Python.

    • Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock.

    • Databases: Experience with Vector DBs such as Milvus or Pinecone.

  • Specialized Skills:

    • Deep understanding of Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) and programmatic code transformation.

    • Familiarity with code migration processes and cloud-native microservices architecture.

  • Tools: Expert knowledge of Git for collaborative development and code management.
