Job Summary:
Uplers is looking for a talented and driven Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for global clients. The ideal candidate will build robust server-side applications, ensure high performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.

  • Build secure, efficient, and reusable server-side logic.

  • Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

  • Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams.

  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Manage databases and ensure data security and integrity.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

  • Debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, code reviews, and sprint planning.

  • Support deployment and CI/CD pipelines with DevOps teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.

  • Strong experience in backend technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python, or PHP.

  • Proficiency in RESTful APIs, Microservices, and MVC architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices.

  • Familiarity with Git, Linux, and cloud fundamentals.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization.

  • Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

  • Experience working with international clients or remote teams.
