Job Overview
Uplers is hiring an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer for one of its clients—a Series A–funded California-based Software Development Company. This is a fully remote, full-time permanent opportunity for DevOps professionals who excel in AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, security best practices, and Python scripting.
You will be responsible for building, managing, and scaling AWS environments, ensuring secure deployments, and supporting CI/CD pipelines for production-grade systems.
Key Responsibilities

Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform modules

Deploy and operate services on ECS (Fargate), AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudFront
-
Implement monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
-
Strengthen cloud security through IAM best practices, AWS Config, Security Hub, WAF, and SOC2 controls
-
Develop Python automation scripts for infrastructure and operational workflows

Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams
-
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to containers, networking, and serverless services
Required Skills & Qualifications

2 to 4+ years of hands-on DevOps experience on AWS

Strong expertise in AWS services: ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, VPC
-
Proven experience with Terraform and Ansible

Solid understanding of cloud security and SOC2 compliance
-
Strong Python scripting skills

Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar
-
Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
Nice to Have Skills

Experience with EKS, AWS Step Functions, or Secrets Manager

AWS Certifications (Associate or Professional level)
