Job Description
Tribe Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer – Landing Zone Specialist to support the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale AWS cloud environments for a financial services organisation.
This role focuses on building secure, scalable, and automated AWS Landing Zones within a multi-account architecture. You will collaborate closely with cloud, security, and DevOps teams to establish cloud foundations that meet strict compliance, security, and operational requirements.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced cloud engineers who enjoy hands-on implementation, infrastructure automation, and working in regulated environments where governance and security are critical.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement AWS Landing Zone architectures for multi-account cloud environments

Define cloud governance, security controls, and compliance frameworks

Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business and regulatory requirements.

Create architecture blueprints and technical roadmaps for cloud migration and modernisation.

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK

Implement AWS security best practices across IAM, encryption, networking, and monitoring

Ensure compliance with standards such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and financial services regulations.

Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, and operational stability.

Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps enablement initiatives

Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system availability, resilience, and disaster recovery.

Maintain accurate documentation for cloud designs, processes, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
-
3+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or similar role
-
Proven hands-on experience designing and managing AWS Landing Zones
-
Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch
-
Experience working in multi-account AWS environments with governance controls

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK

Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks

Strong networking knowledge (VPC design, VPN, Direct Connect)

Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Eligibility Criteria
