 The Role: Mastering the Analytics Lifecycle

You will be responsible for the full spectrum of business intelligence—from data extraction and semantic modelling to advanced visualisation and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visualisation & Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and paginated reports.

• Semantic Modelling: Build robust models and author efficient DAX measures and calculated columns for maximum accuracy and performance.

   

• Data Preparation: Create and manage Power Query (M) transformations and Dataflows for reusable, governed data preparation.

• Ecosystem Integration: Integrate Power BI with Power Automate (for automated workflows) and Power Apps to enable data-driven business actions.

• Security & Governance: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and enforce governance standards for global data protection.

• Technical Collaboration: Write high-performance SQL for data extraction and collaborate with data engineering teams on ETL processes.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct workshops to gather requirements, map KPIs, and validate deliverables against business goals.

  Your Technical Success Profile

We are looking for a hands-on expert who stays ahead of the curve in BI technology and best practices.

• Required Qualifications:

  • BI Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop & Service.

    • Advanced DAX: Proficiency in complex DAX authoring and performance optimization.

    • Database Skills: Strong SQL (T-SQL/ANSI SQL) for data modeling, shaping, and tuning.

    • Technical Versatility: Ability to develop or extend custom visuals and integrate with the broader Microsoft Power Platform.

      • Modeling: Understanding of Star and Snowflake schemas and semantic layer design.

• Professional Traits:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.

  • Excellent communication skills for coaching users and presenting to stakeholders.
