 Project Role: AI / ML Engineer (Specialist/SME)

Project Role Description 

The AI/ML Engineer will be an expert in building production-ready applications and systems utilising advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and Cloud AI Services (AWS, Azure, GCP). This role focuses on the end-to-end development pipeline, from concept to deployment, encompassing Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Computer Vision, Chatbots, and strategic integration of cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) models

 Core Responsibilities and Leadership

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will drive technical excellence and team performance.

• SME & Technical Leadership: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Machine Learning and GenAI, providing technical direction for your immediate team and across multiple cross-functional units.

• Model Productionization: Design, implement, and maintain robust, production-ready AI applications and cloud/on-prem deployment pipelines (MLOps).

• Generative AI Integration: Apply and fine-tune Generative AI models (LLMs, Diffusion Models) as a core part of innovative client solutions.

• Advanced AI Development: Engage hands-on with core AI components, including Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Chatbot frameworks, and Image Processing ($\text{Computer Vision}$) tasks.

• Team & Problem Solving: Collaborate, manage, and mentor junior team members, ensuring high performance and providing solutions to complex technical challenges across projects.

• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate, optimize, and improve existing $\text{AI}$ models for performance, scalability, and quality.

Professional & Technical Skills (The Must-Haves)

To secure a prominent position in applicant tracking systems and search results, candidates must possess these core competencies:

• Must To Have Skills:

  • Machine Learning (ML): Minimum 5 years of hands-on, real-time experience in developing, training, and testing $\text{ML}$ models at scale.

  • Deep Learning Frameworks: Strong proficiency in using and deploying models with TensorFlow or PyTorch.

  • Cloud Deployment/MLOps: Proven experience deploying $\text{ML}$ models in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Good To Have Skills:

  • Generative AI (GenAI): Practical experience with $\text{LLMs}$, $\text{RAG}$ (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), fine-tuning techniques, and integrating generative models into business applications.

  • Python/Programming: Advanced programming skills in Python for data science and model engineering.

  • Data Prep: Deep familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and $\text{ETL}$ pipelines for $\text{AI/ML}$.
