As a Senior Data Analyst at Skillsoft, you will play a pivotal role in turning raw data into actionable intelligence. You’ll partner with teams across the business to collect, clean, and analyze complex datasets that inform strategy, optimize performance, and shape the company’s future.

This role demands an analytical mindset, strong technical expertise, and the ability to communicate findings in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Your insights will directly influence business decisions, process improvements, and overall organizational growth.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, correlations, and performance drivers.

  • Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports that visualize key business metrics and KPIs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations — to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support ongoing business initiatives and special projects.

  • Present findings, data stories, and strategic recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Support the development of a data-driven culture by promoting best practices in analytics, reporting, and visualization.

💼 Professional Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.

  • Hands-on experience with Python or R for statistical analysis, data modeling, and automation.

  • Advanced expertise in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling).

  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred) or Power BI.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and quantitative reasoning skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of explaining complex findings to non-technical audiences.

  • Proven track record of delivering data insights that improve efficiency and drive measurable business outcomes.

🧠 Technical Toolset

  • SQL: Data extraction, joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.

  • Python or R: Data analysis, automation, and predictive modeling.

  • Tableau: Building interactive dashboards and visual storytelling.

  • Power BI: Business intelligence reporting and analytics integration.

  • Excel: Advanced modeling, trend analysis, and data manipulation.

🎓 Beneficial Certifications & Qualifications
