Army Day Parade Rehearsal on January 9 to Honor Women in Jaipur

Jaipur is gearing up for a proud and inspiring moment as preparations begin for the Army Day Parade 2026. To reach the maximum number of people, the Indian Army has scheduled three full rehearsals starting from January 9, all of which will be open to the public. The first rehearsal on January 9 will hold special significance as it will be dedicated exclusively to women, highlighting their growing role in the nation’s development and defence.

👩‍✈️ Special Focus on Women

The Rajasthan government is making arrangements to ensure that girls and women from various institutions can attend the parade rehearsal. The home department has instructed all concerned departments to encourage maximum participation from women and girls and to make the event as inclusive as possible.

🏛️ State Government Support

On Sunday, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas visited the venue on Mahal Road, Jagatpura, to review the preparations. During his visit, he provided on-the-spot instructions to officials to ensure the event is conducted smoothly. He stated:

“The Army Day Parade being held in Jaipur is a matter of pride for the entire state, and it should be organized in a manner befitting its national importance. The Government of Rajasthan will provide full cooperation for the successful conduct of the Army Day Parade-2026.”

🗂️ Logistics and Planning

On Saturday, a high-level coordination and review meeting was chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Bhaskar A. Sawant. Jaipur District Collector Jitendra Kumar Soni said that seating arrangements and entry/exit routes for spectators are being carefully prepared. He also urged all educational institutions and organizations to submit the number and details of participants by Monday to ensure smooth management.

Officials highlighted that the state government is focusing on enabling students preparing for army recruitment and other military exams, as well as those in colleges, universities, and schools, to attend the parade. The goal is to inspire young minds and give them a first-hand experience of the discipline and dedication of the Indian Army.

🎖️ Celebrating Tradition, Discipline, and National Pride

The Army Day Parade is not just a display of military skills and precision drills; it is a celebration of discipline, teamwork, and national service. The event will feature marching contingents, military bands, and demonstration of tactical skills, giving spectators an immersive experience.

For young people, it’s also an eye-opener into what life in the armed forces entails – from rigorous training to teamwork, leadership, and a sense of duty towards the nation. By dedicating the first rehearsal to women, the organizers are sending a strong message about gender inclusivity and empowerment in every sphere of life.
